Biarritz, France

A couple of weeks after Ben and I returned from Amsterdam, Sarah and I headed off to the South of France (so many holidays this year)! I cannot recommend this destination enough - it's only downfall is that it is a little pricey, but you get a lot out of what you pay so it balances...anyway! Sarah and I met at the airport and celebrated our holiday!

We went with AirBnb, and the lovely guy picked us up from the airport and drove us back to our little apartment for the long weekend. It was in a fantastic little street.

We didn't waste much time before going exploring. We decided the weather wasn't good enough for hitting the beach, so we went for a walk instead.

We got a couple of amazing ice creams from a little stand near the coast -

And walked to a little seating area over this bridge to enjoy the views.

We headed over to this place that Sarah is looking at, and had a drink overlooking a little bay area.

After enjoying some wine by the water, we headed up to a cliff side bar to enjoy the sunset.

But unfortunately the clouds got in the way so we headed to a restaurant by the sea called Le Surfing for dinner.

The food was amazing, especially the little sushi rolls, I fully recommend this place for more 'modern' French food.

The next morning I nipped up to the bakery and supermarket to grab some breakfast for me and Sarah, which we enjoyed out on our little patio before hitting the food market which was a short walk away from us.

After staring at the food for ages we eventually bought ourselves some meat, cheese, bread and of course...

Some wine! Some really, really good wine. We took it to the beach.

The waves were really big this day, scary big! Bigger than this one! Sarah and me had fun getting washed in by them!

When we got home we spent a good twenty minutes trying to get the cork out of our red wine...it crumbled EVERYWHERE. Luckily, the wine was worth it, and after a glass or two, we went out for dinner.

...where we ordered more wine. Hey, it's France. It's so completely necessary. This place had some incredible food! I wish I could find out the name of it but it's not even on google maps!

And then drinks at Bar Jean where we got photo-bombed!

Twice. The next day we went to the beach again and enjoyed some seriously good weather! The waves weren't as big but we were happy to enjoy the sun and chill. In the evening we ate our little cognac cake things.

And then actually caught the sunset from the a bar that has amazing views and tasty nibbles - I can't seem to find it anywhere but it is on Square Jean Baptise Lassalle.

After we add this impressive plate of meat, we headed back to bar Jean for dinner.

Followed by creme brulee!

We were stuffed! The next day we only had the morning before we had to head back home..so we got up early-ish and grabbed a crepe for breakfast.

And then headed down to the beach.
